It was a night full of celebrations, as KP took home two accolades at the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Awards 2019 last Thursday.
Dave Clark, Development Manager, took home the gong for Food and Drink Scientist of the Year, in recognition of his key role in new product and process development work, and becoming a specialist in a number of key food science issues that have become increasingly important to the business and the wider snacks industry.
The second award of the evening was presented to the Employee Health and Wellbeing Team for best HR Initiative for KP’s Mental Health First Aiders programme.
Mark Thorpe, CEO said, “It is a fantastic achievement for KP to be recognised with these Awards. Dave Clarke has over 30 years service with KP and I have long admired his technical knowledge and dedication to KP, it is great to see him win this award and well deserved.
“It also makes me incredibly proud to see the great work of our Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) team and mental health first aiders recognised in this way, mental health is a really important issue and Martin and his team have ensured that it is at the forefront of our thinking.
“I would like to congratulate Dave, Martin and the wider EHW team and thank them for making a real difference to KP.”
