As a responsible food manufacturer, we recognise that we have both a significant impact and a major opportunity to make a positive difference to the natural world as we are reliant on agriculture and thriving ecosystems for our key ingredients. Having already made significant progress to reduce our environmental impact, we have implemented science-based targets validated by Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Our sustainability targets and approach are embedded into the way we do business.

Our environment targets

We are committed to an absolute emissions reduction target of 50% for our own operations (Scope 1) by 2032 vs 2021 (total CO2)

We are committed to an emissions reduction target of 30% in our supply chain emissions (Scope 3) by 2032 vs 2021 (Total CO2)

We will halve the amount of edible food waste generated across our manufacturing sites by 2030

Use as little plastic packaging as possible*

To reduce our overall use of packaging material by 15% by the end of 2025 (compared to our 2014 baseline).

Use recycled content in our packaging

We source recycled content for our packaging as available and when functionality can be guaranteed - to achieve 10% by 2025 and 20% by 2030

Support UK recycling infrastructure

To ensure our plastic packaging can be recycled effectively - at least 10% of PE and PP film being recycled by 2025

Use only recycled and certified cardboard

We source 100% of our cardboard/carton board from FSC certified* or recycled sources

Public commitment to science-based targets

Committed to the Food Waste Reduction Roadmap

As part of our commitment to the UK Food Waste Reduction Roadmap* (developed by IGD and WRAP), KP Snacks is committed to halving the food waste generated across our manufacturing sites* by 2030, based on a baseline year of 2017.
